Belly Dance Classes held at East Worthing Baptist Church Pendine Avenue Worthing

Monday 7.30 - 9pm (dance teacher Jane)

Beginners Class. 

You'll have fun learning all the basics in belly dance. with safe techniques you'll soon be wriggling and moving. It wont be long before you'll be learning simple combinations and putting them together with some great tunes and learning choreographies that you'll be able to perform for your friends and families. There is always time to ask questions and work through moves that you may struggle with. You will feel at ease and discover the belly dancer within and make many new friends

Wednesday 7.00 - 8.30pm (dance teacher Jane)

Improvers class. 

In this class you will learn various combinations and learn how to use props such as veils, dance canes, silk fans and Isis wings and more. you'll be shown how to put emphisis and emotion into each move, from cheeky and fun to sophisticated and sensual. You will be taught a variety moves to build on your own repertiore and grow in confidence to go on to creating your own dances as well as learning group choreographies that you'll be able to perform with the Nefertiri Dancers.

We use a variety of music from traditional egyptian and turkish to the countries leading pop artists as well as using western music and pop songs.
We like to have fun together dancing, but also remember we need to focus on our posture and safetly whilst dancing, We also have a full warm up and cool down

What to wear: loose comfortable clothing you can move in. NO JEANS these are not stretchable enough and retrict movement. Bare feet or soft ballet style pumps NO TRAINERS. If you have a coin belt you can wear that or borrow one. We also have some items for sale at class.
